Meet Hero! True to his name, Hero is brave, loyal and not afraid to admit that he loves his mama. He’s a leader among his litter, the first to explore and say hello to new friends. Hero also might say that he’s selfless when he tastes the food & treats first to make sure it’s good enough for everyone else! After a long day of protecting the world from the evils of toy mice, he enjoys long snuggle sessions and is very generous with his purrs and headbutts. He does prefer a warm, cozy lap to a fortress of solitude, and who could blame him?! Hero is gray all over and a bit on the scruffy side. He will likely be a medium haired kitty, but he still has his adult coat coming in so that might change. He gets along well with other dogs and cats and is quick to make new fur & human friends. At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days. Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold. Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient.
