I am a beautiful little Tabico (calico tabby) girl. I am quite small for my age, so I don't think I will be a very big kitty. I have a lot of personality! I am very brave. I will stand up to big dogs and scary things without running away. Like many LAWS kitties, I had a rough start to life and I came to my foster home very scared and unfamiliar with humans. I have come a long long way in the few weeks I've been with my foster family. I am now very comfortable with my family and my cat and dog siblings. I LOVE to play!! I love pom poms and playing with my brother, Enzo, the most. I race around the house and always seek out humans to sit next to. Once I am familiar with you, I want to be next to you; however, I am slowly learning to like affection and touch. I like my head, neck and chin scratched by familiar people. When I am worn out from a lot of play, or Enzo is snuggled up with me in my basket, I genuinely love to be petted. I have a gentle nature. I will warn you with a little hiss if I'm not ready to be touched or if something scares me, but I am never aggressive. I do still run away from scary things and new people sometimes , but I am back very soon as my curiosity and desire to be around people wins out. I will need a cat whisperer type person to continue to love me and be patient with me about being touched. My foster family is absolutely convinced that I will continue to make progress and become a very affectionate kitty. They can tell how much I enjoy the scratching and petting when I am able to be comfortable and not be afraid. They are amazed at the progress I have made in a few short weeks! I am VERY entertaining to have around. I have VERY amusing facial expressions and behavior and I love to play (did I say that already?). I LOVE pom poms!!! I also love my food and have terrific litter pan habits. I have the run of a large house and I am no trouble at all. I love to race around the house and play with my brother, Enzo who is also up for adoption. I will need to be adopted with Enzo as he and I are very attached to each other! We play, snuggle, groom each other, and he helps me feel comfortable and safe. I think I would be worth your time and you would have a life-long companion. I would not be a good match for a family with young children.

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes up to 7 days.  Keep in mind, the kitten/cat you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals.   Due to COVID-19, we are highly encouraging foster homes and adopters to speak with one another via phone or video chat to limit in-person contact. If meeting in person at a foster home or at our adoption center, everyone is encouraged to wear masks and socially distance.   Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100 % foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email Dogs@laramieanimals.org**
