Learn more about the Labrador Retriever.
Laika is a big girl with a lot of love. She is very sweet and just loves humans. She is still a puppy even though she doesn’t look like it, so is working on her potty training and commands. She is still learning how to be an inside dog but is doing better every day and eager to learn. She loves other dogs and even puppies. She gets really excited so if you have small children she could knock them down but would be so lovable to them. She loves anybody who will give her attention. She is workin on kennel training but really doesn’t like it. She is a very vocal girl. She would do well with someone who has time to train her and work with her and is around her often. She does get stuff on the counter if you leave it out. She is going to make someone very happy and is really a good dog for what she came from and we can’t wait for her to meet her forever humans! **Laika will be spayed and fully vaccinated before adoption** More about LaikaGood with Dogs, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Does Good in the Car, Requires a yard, Leashtrained, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Goofy
At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days. Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold. Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.
**Dog/Puppy applications -
Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
