Learn more about the Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler.
Bandit had a super tough start in life – living in an abusive home. He came into our care and was thankfully taken under the wings of the of the angels at @The Wyoming Training Academy who have been caring and training him for over a year. Bandit is now ready for his forever home of course as always we will be very particular. We would also be open to placing him into a foster to adopt situation. Bandit (nicknamed Piggy) is very sweet and loyal guy. He is needing someone who can be authoritative but also very loving. Bandit loves people but picks and chooses his friends. Although Bandit can be protective and stubborn at times. He is in need of constant stimulation... he is very curious and will get into trouble if he finds it. He absolutely loves to play ball and give kisses. He loves the outdoors playing in the mud and getting dirty. Bandit needs lots of room to roam such as a farm or land with acreage and lots of daily exercise. Ideally, he would love if his human was home much of the day so that he can follow them around and be a sidekick. Bandit has good basic obedience skills (He is very basic sit lay off come leave it watch- working on stay) and would likely be a great agility dog. Bandit does like other dogs but does much better with non-aggressive female dogs. We do believe Bandit has a chemical imbalance which is currently being managed with daily CBD which seems to work very well for him. Bandit will not be placed in a home with children. Please help up find this sweet boy a forever home. We would also be open to placing him into a foster to adopt situation. At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes up to 7 days. Keep in mind, the kitten/cat you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold. Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Due to COVID-19, we are highly encouraging foster homes and adopters to speak with one another via phone or video chat to limit in-person contact. If meeting in person at a foster home or at our adoption center, everyone is encouraged to wear masks and socially distance. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100 % foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.
**Dog/Puppy applications -
Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email Dogs@laramieanimals.org**
