Nicks is a cool little tuxedo girl who takes in her surroundings and keeps her guard up, but don’t let that fool you - she is a lovebug at heart! Nicks is a very shy little girl with people, but she will seek out affection from you - on her terms. She isn’t a fan of being picked up or reached down for most of the time, but as soon as she gets a few feet away, she will lay down and look at you, belly exposed, taunting you to pet her. When she realizes that she is all alone in a room, she will begin to call out for her family, and upon seeing them, she will return their affections. As I wrote this, she demanded chin and face scratches, as well as took the liberty of adding a few rows of W’s to the bio that she thought it needed. She is playful with her foster siblings, and tends to be the tougher one out of the bunch, despite being the smallest. She grows sweeter and more open by the day, and we know she will continue to do so in a new home with the right amount of patience, attention, and play time. We do recommend a cat savvy home, with older and respectful children, as she does have firm boundaries, and is not afraid to enforce them as she sees fit. Nicks was saved from homelessness in an outdoor environment when she was brought into our program, and has settled into life as an indoor only cat. As such, she will need a home that will keep her inside, or provide her with cat safe and supervised outdoor time (an enclosed catio, for example). This sweet little girl has come so far, and deserves a safe, worry free, and loving environment to call her very own.  Do you have a home for a shy-yet-loving tux with an eye for adventure?
