Meet Schnitzel!  He is a loving, gentle, and affectionate cat who has been with LAWS since he was a few days old.  He overcame pneumonia as a tiny baby and now has chronic upper respiratory issues which are controlled medically.  Most likely Schnitzel will need to be on medication for the rest of his life.
Schnitzel is one of the most loving cats his foster family has ever known.  He asks for hugs frequently and actually puts his paws around your neck to hug.  He loves to be held, ride on shoulders, and snuggle.  Schnitzel likes to play with other cats and kittens, gets along well with gentle dogs, but mostly prefers human contact- a lot of human contact!  Schnitzel would do best in a home where people are home more often than not.  He would do well with people who work from home or with folks who aren’t too active.  He is always interested in what’s going on, what you’re doing, and surely would make suggestions if he could.  He’s always around to lend a paw or offer moral support.
Schnitzel has a very gentle demeanor and a big heart.  He is a smaller cat and combined with his health issues, he should definitely be an indoor only cat.  He likes to play with toys, lay in boxes, and sunbathe in windows.  He also likes to join humans in the bathroom during shower time- the warm humidity helps with his nose and eyes and it has become a ritual he enjoys.
Schnitzel has been with his foster family since day one and he will be missed dearly.  But knowing he is going to the right home will help.  Given his medical needs, the right home will be with a person or family who will continue to provide him the veterinary care and maintenance he requires.  It will also be a home that will be open to his higher than average need for human attention.  The love that Schnitzel will give in return is immeasurable!!  He is and will continue to be a faithful and loyal companion for the right home.
